Mod a controller for less than $20
ok first of all i am not responsible for U BREAKING YOUR CONTROLER
secondly i did this myself, first time i screwed up (happens to everyone) by keeping the solder tool on the LED too long and it fried it. i was lucky to have a spare controller.
third this is a tut by me, i will put more detial on later but for now this is a simple tut if you dont want to buy a already modded controller.
NOTE: radioShack is your hero and also you must have a controller with a chip that saysc15 on it. this is easy to find, just take your battery out of your controller, look in the botten right by the springs and if there is a chip that says c15 on it this will not work. this is because the other controllers run on a PWM. but if you have a older controller this will work if not you need a modchip.
Step 1
this is the part where you need money. now according to your tax rate or economy, this may vary from state to state.
ITEMS
TT9 Torx Driver
Small Push Button Switch like this one
Model: 275-011 | Catalog #: 275-011
some wire to connect the button to the LED
A soldering drill and bit, make sure to get the right size
and a controller
STEP 2
Okay now you will unscrew your controller. there are 7 screws all together, that includes the one screw hidden in the middle of the info pan on the back of the controller. (that is the papre with writing on it that you see when you takeout the battery)
now get the mother board out of the caseing and set it o the table and heat up your soldering iron.
STEP 3
now solder the wire to the button. now the negative wire goes to the middle pin on the right triger. (verry easy to spot because there are 3 dots going vertical on the motherboard) and the positive wire goes on the LED port or d21
Step 4
now put back the controller, go in game and test it out.
Final notes;
okay its easy to drill a hole in the back of your controller to put the button threw, but you dont have too
also note that you might want to get a button that does not have the (always on) option, because then you will shoot and not stop
remember im not responsible for your actions
I WILL POST PICTURES HERE SOON WHEN I FIX MY CAMERA

hey as of right now i dont think you can. i tried soldering another button on yesterday to a different part and failed. o also tried using the same led and failed. i then did some research and found out that you cannot with this type of mod. since it sends pulses from the led to the button giving you the godly trigger speed lol. so i think you might want to look into a modchip but ill find out so you dont waste money. but for this way, just one button.

another great place to solder instead of straight on the mother bored would be where your right rumble pack plugs into the white thing well right above it are two vertical post you want to solder to the right post its easier and you wont burn your motherboard =] i did this and it works perfect happy modding =]
